Flatwater Paddling Guide

Home

Welcome to the guide to canoeing and kayaking in Indiana

Great canoeing and kayacking don't require Class III whitewater. Paddling lakes and streams in flat areas is also fun. Whether exploring a new creek or joining the local paddling club on a favorite strech of river, paddling in flatland is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise, and hang out with friends. This site is a catalog of notes on places to canoe on flatwater, where to launch and take out, stream flow levels, and ather information about local rivers and lakes.

About me

I've always loved canoeing, and I paddle the local rivers and lakes as frequently as I can. I usually paddle my Wenonah Advantage solo canoe, often with the Fort Wayne Paddlers club. A few years ago, I paddled in a number of USCA races. I spend a lot of time on the Rivergreenway in Fort Wayne. I have written a number of canoeing related posts on my main site.
